The patterns range from beginner up to intermediate, however, a basic knowledge of bobbin lace stitches is needed to work the patterns. The patterns are color coded, and include the pricking, a photo of the finished piece, and instructions for each new 'stitch' to be learned.

This source and reference of Idrija patterns will appeal to all students and lacemakers requiring a new challenge. Each of the 40 designs is illustrated and full instructions are given, complete with pricking and five-colour stitch diagrams.
